A Message from Arcadia’s President – Quarter 1, 2019

Leaping into Spring 2019
2019 is an exciting year for Arcadia Electrical as we celebrate 30 years of electrical business operations. We are honored to be one of New York state’s leading electrical contractors with over three decades on commercial, educational, retail and public projects in New York City and beyond.

The state of Arcadia Electrical is very busy and upbeat! Despite rigid timelines, our team is not only meeting them but also exceeding our clients’ expectations. With multiple active jobs secured, we are happy to report that we have increased our new hires by 20%, and, more importantly,  we are still hiring! Of our various projects in place, we are proud to be providing installation services to several New York public schools and the Staten Island Mall’s expansion, which are further elaborated on in this quarter’s letter.

Lighting Up Our Students’ Future
In today’s increasingly competitive market, the success of tomorrow’s workforce begins in the classroom. As homes and businesses adopt smart technologies, schools too must do so. Such electrical enhancements require the kind of technical knowledge and expertise that Arcadia Electrical has worked tirelessly to perfect. As part of our contribution towards the  leaders of tomorrow, Arcadia Electrical has six active jobs across New York’s public school system, including PS129, PS303, PS66, 3k90 and Prek 444M.

Greener and longer lasting lighting can help reduce the schools’ energy spending, and by using outside lighting sensors and occupancy centers, classrooms will not only be able to light up in accordance to daylight savings but also shut off when they are not needed. This energy-saving lighting is both greener and more cost-effective.

Arcadia’s work for NYCHA’s Gravesend Houses has also achieved major progress, with work over the next two years. High-quality electrical construction and contracting is of utmost importance in public housing projects where the work must last for generations to come.

Making Retail Brighter In Staten Island
Arcadia Electrical was proud to take part in the recent Staten Island Mall Expansion Project by providing installation services and finishing touches to new businesses including  Zara, Barnes & Noble and Tommy’s Tavern. As these opportunities arise, Arcadia recognizes the importance of  electrical construction, installation and long-lasting design.
